    UNE is currently inviting applications from suitably qualified individuals for the position of Senior
    Lecturer or Lecturer in Statistics.


    About the role

    Located in the School of Science and Technology, this role requires a commitment to scholarly research
    and quality teaching. Statistics at UNE takes a multi-disciplinary form, and is a key part of the Computational
    Science major in the Bachelor of Science, the Data Science major in the Bachelor of Computer Science,
    and postgraduate offerings in Applied Statistics and Quantitative Ecology. The School conducts teaching and
    research through an exciting range of undergraduate, honours and postgraduate courses and research degrees by
    dissertation within these disciplines. The School is also closely aligned with the School of Environmental and
    Rural Science.

    Skills & Experience

    The successful appointee will have a PhD (or be near completion for Lecturer level) in statistics with a focus on
    agricultural, biological, computational, ecological or mathematical statistics research; will be able to build multi-
    disciplinary collaborations with researchers in the computational, physical or life sciences, and be able to teach
    across a broad range of statistics classes, ranging from large first-year service classes to specialised classes
    delivered in on- and off-campus education modes.
